One of my biggest regrets is not getting an updated family photo before Mum passed, the last one we have is from when I was 11. I know it’s morbid, but it unfortunately we can lose people we love, unexpectedly. Hence my passion to celebrate the moments we experience now, and document them forever!
I think it’s so precious (and hella fun) to capture images of your family - candid, unposed, natural - and creating a timeline with images as the years pass. It’s also a fab excuse to gather your loved ones, especially if it’s been a while between drinks.
A playful, loving and sometimes hilarious session with those you hold closest (even though they might drive you a lil’ crazy). We’ll celebrate the story of your family, and the love that you share for each other.

Some loving tips for your family session …
First and foremost, be prepared to go with the flow!
I’m talking about both my style of working AND the happenings of the family spending time together.
I don’t do overly posed shots, because, the real beauty of family photography is when you’re connecting - laughing, talking, stirring each other up, listening to stories… I want to capture the stories of your loved ones, the connections, the history.
And sometimes, things don’t always go to plan! Kids have a beautiful imagination of their own, pets can get overly excited at all the new play mates, and there’s general family chit chat that occurs. IT IS ALL PERFECT! The photos will STILL be beautiful, and in my opinion, even moreso - because the very real moments that unfolded will be documented forever, and I think that is truly special.
Feel free to bring snacks for kiddies (and you), along with some water (or perhaps a beer for you as well).
Food and toys can be fantastic bribing options when cooperating with little ones for a photo. When all else fails, we’ll get out the YouTube and I’ll hold it up while we sneak some photos.
It might be chaotic, but I know that it will be freakin’ glorious.
Get in touch if you have any other questions or concerns! Always happy to help.
